One of the only remaining original and authentic Hawaiian shirt businesses, Go Barefoot takes pride in its history and endurance. Their life's work is to restore the Hawaiian Shirt's original history and preserve it for future generations to wear while unwinding and enjoying life.
After the end of World War II, Isamu Takabuki of Hawaii founded lolani Sportswear and started producing Hawaiian "Aloha" clothing. His daughter Alice fell in love and moved in with Clarence Hara. Clarence and Isamu established a new business and founded Fuji Import Company, Inc. in 1957. They distributed wholesale Hawaiian shirts and robes made of silk, rayon, and cotton that were imported from Japan.
