The brand's history dates back as far as 1911, producing garments out of Berlin until production was shut down by descendants of the family business. It wasn't until 2011 after finding a vintage Henley t-shirt of the brand at a market stall that Gitta & Peter Plotnicki decided to purchase the company - along with its original and very rare loop wheel machines. Gitta & Peter knew this was a unique opportunity to do something different and are now well known for their sustainably produced, high-quality garments. The original garment they found still informs their designs today and demonstrates the rich heritage of the brand that resonates with so many.
