Family ran for four generations, Portuguese Flannel is based in Portugal using Portuguese Flannel Mills in the city of Guimarães, a city with deep roots in Portugal's esteemed textile industry. Using one of the most distinguished flannel making processes, the high-quality material that is used in each shirt is produced by lifting up of the fibre ends, whereby expert weavers 'nap' the cloth using a meticulous brushing technique. In doing so, this distinctly raises the fibre ends to create a long lasting material with a smooth and cosy texture.
