Behind The Label

During the 1980s, Kangol berets made a significant mark in fashion history as they were embraced by the hip-hop community, including notable figures like Slick Rick, Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, Kool Keith, LL Cool J, The Notorious B.I.G., and Kangol Kid of UTFO. The brand gained further prominence in the 1990s with stylish releases like the furgora (angora-wool mix) Spitfire, famously worn by Samuel L. Jackson in 1997. Kevin Eubanks, former bandleader for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, frequently wore Kangol berets. In 2009, Eminem sported the Cotton Twill Army Cap Kangol hat in his "Beautiful" music video.
