Founded in 1873 at Kurume, Fukuoka, Japan, The hallmark of Shoes Like Pottery is the vulcanising process, or ka-ryu in Japanese. In the ka-ryu process each shoe is fired in a kiln similar to the process of making pottery. Above all the most attractive part of -Shoes Like Pottery- is a highly crafted and beautiful texture which only skilled workers can create by hand. Made in Japan.
